Starting from July 1, five new car-related policies came into effect, affecting everyone's car life.
Airport Expressway toll reduction
Starting from July 1, the Airport Expressway will implement new charging methods and standards. The tolls for vehicles leaving Beijing at Tianzhu Toll Station will be adjusted from the current 10 yuan per vehicle to 5 yuan per vehicle, and the tolls for all types of vehicles will be adjusted accordingly. The tolls for vehicles leaving Beijing at other toll stations will continue to be charged in the current way and standards. At the same time, all toll stations entering Beijing will stop charging, and the three-turn toll stations will be abolished.
At the same time, the Tianzhu Toll Station on Airport Road, the Huanggang Toll Station on Beijing-Chengde Expressway, the Gangshan Toll Station on Airport Second Channel, and the Wugezhuang Toll Station on Beijing-Ping Expressway continue to implement the ticket verification policy: holders of toll tickets issued from the Huanggang Toll Station on Beijing-Chengde Expressway to the Beijing-Ping Expressway, from the Gangshan Toll Station on Airport Second Expressway into Beijing, and from the Wugezhuang Toll Station on Beijing-Ping Expressway into Beijing can pass through the Tianzhu Toll Station on Capital Airport Expressway for free once after ticket verification on the same day.
Lowering import tariffs on gasoline and diesel
The Ministry of Finance announced that starting from July 1, my country will significantly reduce import tariffs on gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and fuel oil, of which diesel and jet fuel will be imported at zero tariff. Experts pointed out that this will effectively ease the shortage of domestic refined oil products and suppress oil prices, thereby easing the pressure of imported inflation.
Highway Ordinance increases transport costs
The Highway Safety Protection Regulations came into effect on July 1. According to the regulations, the road transport management agency shall revoke the vehicle operating license of freight vehicles that violate the law and overload more than three times within a year; the road transport management agency shall order the drivers of freight vehicles that violate the law and overload more than three times within a year to stop engaging in commercial transportation. The regulations are also known as the most stringent regulations on overloading in history. Industry insiders pointed out that the new regulations will have the greatest impact on users, especially car carriers. It is estimated that the transportation cost of each mainstream mid-size car will reach 5,000 yuan, especially for economy cars and micro cars, which face a transportation cost increase of several hundred yuan, and the competitive pressure is even greater.

The revised standard stipulates the blood and breath alcohol content values and test methods for vehicle drivers who drive after drinking or drunk driving.
